Sketch book assignment:

Using the words Joy and Pain turn the words into a drawing using each letter as a part

of its meaning. An example would be to take the word joy and make the j and the y turn into flowers or a tree while

the o could become the sun. The word pain could be created with each letter being jagged or sharp as if it would

cut your own eye upon looking at it. Create as many of these as you choose and play with other words for the fun of it.

Use any medium you choose, pencil, watercolor, markers or both. It is okay to show your rough ideas in your sketchbook.

You sketchbook is meant to be an exploratory book as you apply your creativity in a manner you probably have

never done.
