Think about the differences between The Most Famous Painting in the World by Leonardo da Vinci of the 15th century and the version of The Mona Lisa painted by the 20th century artist Jean Michele Basquiat. Some questions to ask would be: How do the two individual paintings make you feel? What elements of design are most evident in these two pieces? Are there cultural or historical clues being revealed as we compare and contrast these two paintings? Do a little research on Basquiat and Leonardo before answering these questions.
