Your exploration is a good one. You have several drawings that are really well executed below, including the one below. Your investigation pages should be redrawn to show your drawings a bit larger with your writing smaller in size. Your writing needs to reveal an exploration of certain facial expressions. Try creating a full page of drawing just showing one emotion. Display several different ideas or comps of that emotion as you seek to discover the best representation of that emotion. View different artists and how they used symbolic expressions. The expression below reminds me of Picasso’s painting Guernica. (See next to your drawing).

You also can be inspired by Edvard Munch and his work on emotions. You should reference these artists on each page that appers close to their style of work. As you reproduce your investigation pages you need to add writing that reflects the principles and elements of design. Remember, it is an investigation. You are experimenting with your drawings to get to a final piece or pieces.

The drawing below is interesting? What is the emotion? Why does the girl not have a face? What are you trying to tell me? Is this a tree a giant bush?

The drawing below is most interesting. What is the emotion? Why does is it appear as someone from Africa? What are the elements and principles of design you are using?
